The optimisation of the metabolism is - also according to the opinion of orthodox medicine - the only way to successfully defend against civilisation problems including obesity and its consequences. One of the best plants for activating the metabolism is Momordica charantia.
Bitter cucumber, bitter melon or ampalaya, the Momordica charantia has many names and forms. In a unique production process, the unripe fruit, in which the bitter substances are particularly interesting, is processed in the most gentle way. The refined products are only processed in Austria and Germany. The ingredients of Momordica charantia include an insulin-like peptide (p-insulin), glycosides (momordin, charantin), and the alkaloid momordicin. They are the main contributors to the fact that the bitter cucumber has such a high status in the Far Eastern region and is also increasingly attracting attention in the Western world as a natural "metabolism activator". In Asian folk medicine, Momordica charantia is referred to as a "diabetes brake".
