Microbiome/Stool Testing
Whereas in the past only those bacteria that could be cultivated outside the body were counted, the use of modern molecular biology methods has made it possible to determine the DNA of all microorganisms.
In molecular genetic stool analysis, all bacteria in the stool are analysed using next-generation DNA sequencing. This makes it possible to assess the quantity and composition of bacteria in the gut and to recognise microbial changes.
