Google Pay (formerly "Android Pay" or "Google Wallet"), the Google Pay app is used on an Android smartphone that is NFC-enabled or a compatible smartwatch. Within the Google Pay app, the user can digitally store the data of his credit and debit cards - if supported by the bank issuing the card - and link his PayPal account with Google Pay. Contactless payment is then possible in selected shops after unlocking the smartphone/smartwatch or paying in selected online shops. To do this, select the bank card(s) or PayPal account(s) you want to charge digitally. As part of the payment process, Google Pay passes on the payment information and the delivery address to the contractual partner in encrypted form, as well as a virtual account number, in order to protect the actual bank details of the Google Pay user. The Google Pay app is developed by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. For more information, please visit Google.com
Apple Pay (available only for customers in Austria and Germany)
, the Apple Pay app is used on an iOS smartphone that is NFC-enabled or a compatible Apple Watch, iPad or Mac. Within the Apple Pay app, the user can digitally store the data of their credit and debit cards - if supported by the bank issuing the card - as well as customer cards on their terminal device. Contactless payment in selected shops or payment in selected online shops is then possible according to the instructions on the display of the device used. When digitally depositing several cards, select the one that is to be monetarily debited. Apple Pay uses a device-specific number together with a unique transaction code during a payment process. This means that the credit card number is never stored on the end devices or Apple servers and the merchant never receives the credit card number. Furthermore, Apple does not collect any data on a transaction. Only in the context of an online purchase does the merchant receive the data provided by the customer and necessary to complete the order. The Apple Pay app is developed by Apple Inc, 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA. For more information, visit Apple.com
