A balanced intestinal tract
What role do Akkermansia muciniphila and Facealibacterium pausnitzii play??An imbalance of specific intestinal bacteria can lead to a disturbed function of the important intestinal barrier, which is often also accompanied by a so-called "silent inflammation". The bacteria Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii play an important role in a normally functioning intestinal barrier: Akkermansia muciniphila is responsible for the production of highly viscous mucus and contributes with this mucus layer to strengthening the intestinal barrier so that foreign germs, but also harmful substances, cannot overcome the intestinal mucosa and enter the bloodstream. Faecalibakterium prausnitzii on the other hand, is able to produce special fatty acids, including butyric acid (= butyrate). This primarily supplies the intestinal mucosa with energy and thus strengthens the "tight junctions". These are the connecting points (membrane proteins) between the cells of the intestinal mucosa that ensure that important nutrients are selected and separated from harmful substances. Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibakterium prausnitzii are anaerobic, however, which means they cannot tolerate oxygen and therefore cannot simply be ingested. With the targeted intake of certain dietary fibres, however, one creates an environment for these bacteria in one's own intestine that is conducive to life and reproduction.
How does OMNi-LOGiC® PLUS work?Years of scientific work have investigated which nutrients need to be supplied to our intestines so that they can optimally fulfil their functions. OMNi-LOGiC® PLUS contains a special combination of high-quality vitamins, minerals and trace elements as well as valuable short-chain carbohydrates, so-called fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and galactooligosaccharides (GOS), which serve as food for certain bacteria.:
- The contained vitamin B2 serves to maintain normal mucosal function and helps to protect the cells from oxidative stress. Calcium plays an important role in the normal function of digestive enzymes and vitamin D & zinc contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
- Fructo-oligosaccharides and galacto-oligosaccharides (FOS/GOS) are special carbohydrates that serve as food for certain bacteria. They stimulate the multiplication of the specific bacteria such as Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii as well as the conversion of food to short-chain fatty acids (such as butyrate).
- In the course of an energy-balanced diet, glucomannan has been shown to contribute to weight loss.
How is OMNi-LOGiC® PLUS used?Stir 5 g (5 g = 1 level measuring spoon) into 0.2 l water/juice etc. 3 x daily and drink immediately (activation time is not required). The positive effect of glucomannan is achieved with a daily intake of 3 g in three portions of 1 g each in combination with 1-2 glasses of water before meals. It is essential to take the product with plenty of liquid so that it reaches the stomach, otherwise, there is a risk of choking if you have difficulty swallowing or with insufficient fluid intake.
CompositionGalactooligosaccharides (GOS) (milk) , fructooligosaccharides (FOS), konjac root glucomannan, calcium carbonate, thickening agent: gum arabic, zinc citrate, cholecalciferol, riboflavin. Free from animal protein, gluten, and yeast . Suitable for diabetics and children. This product is also safe for use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
